Pastor Bob Blinn

Pastor Bob, as he is referred to amongst our Church family, has been with Trinity United Methodist Church since July 2011.  He continues to reach out to the surrounding community as he regularly visits those who can’t come to Church, offering them God’s word and teachings as well as Holy Communion.  Our Church family is truly blessed by Pastor Bob’s dedication to his Trinity family as well as to those in and around our community and his unending reverence for the word of God, our Father.   So, next time you see Pastor Bob be sure to wish his a Happy Anniversary, as it will be 1 year since he has blessed us with his ministry.

The Reverend Bob Blinn is a native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where his father was stationed as an Air Force officer. His family moved to Virginia in 1968. He is a graduate of Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, Emory & Henry College, and the Divinity School of Vanderbilt University. He grew up in Baptist and Presbyterian churches, but has been a United Methodist all his adult life. He was ordained in the Virginia Annual Conference in 1981. He has served churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, and in Montgomery, Floyd, Frederick, Henry and Hanover Counties in Virginia. Bob is married the Rev. Mary Beth Blinn, pastor of Providence UMC in Richmond. They have two children, Christopher, who, along with his wife, Kate, lives and works in Philadelphia, and Anna, who, along with her husband, Garrett, lives and works in upstate New York. Bob’s hobbies include reading, woodwork, swimming, and biking.   Bob and Mary Beth live in Richmond.

    • Attention to Spiritual Practice
Today’s Reflection I AM AFFLICTED with the cultural plague of busy-ness. Trying to find time each day to write, walk, meditate, or make art and work makes it painfully obvious how busy I am.
